Who We Are Learn what the Transit Employee Support Team is about
Transit Employee Support Team (TEST), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, includes Tri-Met employees, Amalgamated Transit Union Local 757 members, and prominent individuals throughout Greater Portland who want to make a difference in the lives of our disabled and retired transit workers and in the community at large. We are registered with the Oregon Secretary of State, Corporation Division, as a domestic nonprofit corporation for the public benefit (Registry Number 640806-91).
We welcome businesses seeking to create a partnership with TEST through corporate donations and gifts in kind. A gift to TEST is an unmistakable way to show support to those who have helped your firm to grow. We can celebrate your public spirit and recognize your support by displaying your logo and business information on our website. Monies given to TEST are not so much donations as they are investments in our community and in the people who helped foster your success.
We appreciate those individuals who see the value in our mission. Working together in numbers, we can and will change lives. Our plan is to have 95% of all donations received go directly to programs for the needy, with no more than 5% used for administration. Allocation of funds among programs is handled by the TEST Board of Directors. Your financial gifts are 100% tax-deductible.
Oprah Winfrey was once asked to what she attributes her tremendous success. We were inspired by her answer: Passion and Purpose. We are passionate about helping our transit workers and our community. Our purpose is stepping up and changing lives.
We thank you for your support.
